When I perform "Labyrinths + Mazes" live, I always add in a section from Billie Ray Martin's classic "Your Loving Arms," because I like they way the two songs fit together both sonically and thematically - the push-pull between love and indifference.

I recorded the vocal for this remix in January 2013. In February 2013, Bright Light Bright Light released his cover of "Your Loving Arms." Shit. I almost pulled this from the release, but I had already applied for (and paid for) the rights. I like his vocal much better - but I don't consider this to be a traditional cover, so... Side note: I reached out to Bright Light Bright Light's people after hearing his version of "Your Loving Arms" to let him know that I would love to collaborate, but never got a response. Pas de quoi.
